Welcome to the spacious and up and coming Mountain Retreat. Don't let the photos of the outside fool you- this is a BIG house! It is professionally managed by Massanutten Vacations, LLC, the leading, premier vacation rental home and management company in the Elkton area since 2006.

To book this home you need to complete one of our leases. We will send it to you once we have ACCEPTED your request.
** Thanksgiving, Christmastime through New Year's Day, and JMU Graduation require a 4-night minimum stay while other holidays require a 3-night minimum stay. **

Escape from it all to this very large, spacious and beautifully decorated family getaway home. Enjoy the views & sunsets from the upstairs and downstairs back decks. Cook dinner for everyone on the new gas grill. Enjoy a warm and cozy fire by the upstairs living room fireplace (USED OCTOBER 1ST THROUGH MARCH 31ST ONLY) while you read a book, chat with family members or watch a movie. This big home has room for all of you to spread out, or gather together and relax, entertain yourselves and have fun.

Are you planning a family reunion, or a corporate getaway? We have a few houses nearby! Around the corner on Nicklaus Lane is our Angle House, and right next to Angle House is our lovely Peaceful Vista!


Ground level: enter into the living room via the front door after carefully descending a short flight of steps. The living room has a new TV with cable and a Blu-ray player with a NETFLIX account all set up for guests! Tasteful furniture graces the room.
A stone-clad, gas log fireplace will keep you toasty warm, (wood is provided. Fireplace use 01 October through 31 March, ONLY).
The dining area has a highchair for babies and toddlers and a patio door leading out to the deck. The deck has a charcoal grill. The dining table is huge and has a new cover, plus the chair covers are new. The kitchen has an abundance of counter space and cabinets and is ready for the cook! The kitchen has new cutlery, mixing bowls, serve ware, and more!

On the other side of the dining area is the main level suite bedroom, with a lovely king bed, ROKU TV, and gorgeous full bath with a stall shower (no tub).
A second bedroom with two double beds (new bedding and pillows) is off the living room, at the front of the house. There is also a full bath attached to the second bedroom, with another stall shower (no tub).

Lower level: POOL TABLE! in the family/game room. The family/game room also has been freshly painted, has a 60-inch TV, new board games, end tables and lamps, and offers more beautiful views from another deck.
As you descend the recently painted stairwell to the basement level, there is a bedroom to the Immedient left that has a king bed, new ROKU TV and full bath with a shower and tub.
On the other side of the family/game room is a bedroom with one single twin bed and one twin bunk bed (all new bedding and pillows!).
The fifth bedroom is on the same side of the house as the bunk bedroom and has a double bed and a set of twin bunk beds is in this room (again, all new bedding and pillows!). Between these two bedrooms is a full bath, with a tub/shower.
* Bedroom 5 has no windows.

PETS ALLOWED: 1 adult dog; must have ALL current vaccinations; renter must pay pet deposit. Renter must clean up all pet waste from yard. Local leash laws must be adhered to. For more info, please contact us.

***10% MILITARY DISCOUNT on the rental fee given when you reserve this home. Holidays are excluded. Thank you for your service!
Stipulations:
1) The reservation must be in the name of the person whose name is on the military ID.
2) A copy of your unexpired U.S. military ID card, current orders, or Veteran's Administration ID must be submitted BEFORE you make any payment to get this discount, since we are unable to deduct anything from the cost after your payment is made through HomeAway.
Mark through all social security numbers on the military ID copy.
Military discount will be applied once your military ID is received in our office.
3) Military IDs received after payment has been made will not be honored for the discount.
4) This discount is given to active duty, reservists and retired military persons.
5) Military discount is not given to civilians, civilian affiliates, contractors, Senior Executive Service (SES), Federal affiliates or Military affiliates accompanying the Armed Forces.

All Reservations: Refundable security deposit and cleaning fee additional.
